About Our Facility
Welcome to TISOH and a World of Hospitality
Located minutes drive from the Las Vegas Strip, our modern welcome center greets visitors and prospective students each day. Glimpse into our enchanting design lab, the first stop of every tour. The Administration building houses the admissions, academic, student, and career services centers.
Design Lab: a Working Showroom of the Latest in Event and Wedding Decor
The TISOH Design Lab is a collaborative effort from many industry sponsors coming together to showcase the latest trends in event decor, lighting, linens, graphics, and much more. This working laboratory allows our students to touch and feel and experience how spaces are transformed into event venues that delight and mesmerize. The inaugural roomscape was designed by creative maestro and TISOH lecturer Lenny Talarico CSEP, Director of Events for MGM Resorts Event Productions.
Student Lounge: a Great Place to Meet New Friends and Future Colleagues
Every student becomes part of the TISOH community and the student lounge and recharge bar is a great place to start making friends. Each semester, dozens of industry guests, students, alums, administrators, and instructors pass through the halls of the Academic building. In addition to classes, complimentary workshops are held in the classrooms for current students and alums.
Innovative Classroom Design Inspires Creative Learning
State-of-the-art classrooms include the latest teaching technologies including 80″ flat screen monitors, tiered seating, power inputs in every training table, and WiFi throughout the complex. Our lecture hall features a massive purpose built hotel front desk equipped with property management systems from Par Springer Miller and Go Concierge, to simulate real time guest interactions.
Small Class Sizes Mean the Focus is on You
TISOH class sizes are normally between 10 and 15 students, allowing for much more personal learning interactions. Our certified industry instructors engage students with small group activities, guest speaker panels, and projects, fostering an environment where students can be an active part of the experience. The Academic building houses our classrooms, lecture hall, student resource center, student lounge, events center, and production studio.
Interactive Online Learning
TISOH programs are available online through our powerful mobile-friendly Brightspace platform. Study 24/7 at your own pace from anywhere you have internet access. Learn through engaging audio-visual lectures that you control. Interact with your industry professional instructor and classmates through chat and discussion forums. Add a hands-on element with externship opportunities either in Las Vegas or in your home city, arranged by TISOH.

The International School of Hospitality (TISOH) is a unique school developed to provide quality, practical short-term continuing education and career training programs which enable participants to apply their learning toward personal fulfillment, professional advancement and career development in the hospitality industry.

DELIVERING THE MISSION
TISOH’s course content, for each certificate offering, is predominantly task-oriented and practical, so as to parallel the duties and responsibilities of industry incumbents. Instruction consists of training individuals using hands-on approaches that are applicable to specific industry jobs and professions, as opposed to traditional degree-focused pedagogical methods. Quality service and professionalism, consistent with the work performance standards expected by hospitality employers, are key ingredients of the training provided. In the process of offering these courses, staff members as well as industry professional instructors set appropriate examples by interacting with students, and each other, in the spirit of hospitality.
